Food is medicine.

Nutrition isn’t supposed to be confusing, and it doesn’t need to be difficult. We can utilize food in the way it was intended; to nourish us, to give us energy, and to provide the body with what it needs to thrive. By taking a food first approach with a focus on real food, our body can utilize the nutrients nature provides, to find its way back to balance.

Answers to Your Questions

What is it like to work with an FNTP?

Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioners ™ work with bio-individual human physiology and function every day. The results for health and wellness for their clients are profound. If you were wondering what nutrition has to do with your current health concerns, here’s a simple explanation. It all comes down to cells. When our cells are nutrient deficient we go on a downward spiral. The role of a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is to assist their clients to re-establish cellular health. Part of this is understanding the warning signs and signals our body gives us every day about underlying dysfunction. Resource: Nutritional Therapy Association.

What does the (NAQ) Nutritional Questionnaire Assessment entail?

The NAQ is a detailed questionnaire using over 300 signs and symptoms to identify potential nutritional deficiencies, imbalances in the body, and which organs or systems need the most attention from a nutritional perspective. Te patterns and insight that emerge from the questionnaire help se the direction from creating your protocol.

Are follow up appointments required?

After your initial session, you are not required to have a follow-up visit. However, keep in mind that healing takes time and doesn’t happen with one appointment. Follow-up visits allow me to assess any symptoms you may be experiencing, which allows further understanding of the root cause. Every individual is different and required support varies.

Why do I need to fill out a food and mood journal?

Although it can seem tedious, the food journal is an important part of the process. It helps identify foods, eating habits, and other important factors that could be supportive or hindering your health. It can also reveal connections between your meals and your symptoms.
